Who is Akshay kumar?


Akshay Kumar  , born on 9th September, 1967 ,is an Indian Bollywood film actor.  He has worked in more than 125 Hindi films.
Kumar was born in Amritsar, India, in the Punjabi family of Hariom Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia. His father was an army officer.  From a young age, Kumar was very interested in sports.  His father also enjoyed wrestling.  He lived in Chandni Chowk of Delhi and grew up, later he went to Mumbai, when his father left the army to become an accountant of UNICEF. Soon, her sister was born and the family lived in Koliwada, in the Punjabi-dominated area of ​​central Mumbai. As well as learning karate he got his schooling from the Don Bosco School.  He got admitted to Guru Nanak College Khalsa College for higher education but due to lack of interest in studies, he left the studies.  He requested his father that he wanted to learn martial arts in the future, and his father somehow saved money to send him to Thailand.  Kumar went to Bangkok to learn martial arts and studied Thai boxing and stayed in Thailand for five years. There is also a sister of Kumar Alka Bhatia. When Kumar was a teenager, his father asked him what he wanted to be.  Kumar expressed his desire to become an actor. After receiving a black belt in Taekwondo while in India, he studied martial arts in Bangkok, Thailand, where he learned Thai boxing and worked as a chef and waiter.  After Thailand, Kumar went to work at Kolkata in a travel agency, in Dhaka at a hotel and Delhi where he sold Kundan jewelry.  on returning to Mumbai, he began teaching martial arts.  During this time, the father of one of his students, who himself was a model coordinator, recommended Kumar in modeling, which eventually led to he had to do modeling assignments for a furniture showroom.  Kumar earned more money in the first two days of shooting than his entire month's pay, and therefore he chose the path of modeling career.



He worked as an assistant to photographer Jayesh Sheth for 18 months without paying to shoot his first portfolio.  He also worked as a background dancer in various films.  One morning, he missed his flight to an ad-shoot in Bangalore.  Frustrating himself, he toured a movie studio with his portfolio.  That evening, Kumar was signed for the lead role by producer Pramod Chakraborty for the film Deedar.

Film career

  Kumar recorded his first appearance as the lead actor along with Rakhi and Shantipriya in "Saugandh" (1991).  In the same year, he starred in Dancer, directed by Kishore Vyas, which received poor reviews.   Next year he starred in the Abbas Mustan-directed suspense thriller, player, which is widely considered to be the role of his success. His next release was a detective film Mr. Bond directed by Raj Sippy based on James Bond.   His last release in 1992 was "Deedar".  It failed to perform well at the box office.   In 1993, he starred in Ketu Ramsay directed Bilingual Film "Ashant" (released in Kannada as Vishnu-Vijaya) and Dr.  Vishnuvardhan, Ashwini Bhave and Ashutosh Rana acted.  All his films released during 1993, including "Dil ki Baazi", "Kayda Kanoon", "Waqt Hmara hai"and "Sainik", did not perform professionally well.   In 1994, he portrayed the role of a police inspector in two films: The Hollywood movie directed by Sameer Malan, The Hard Way, "Main Khiladi Tu Anari" and Rajeev Rai directed "Mohra", one of the highest grossing films of the year  was. At the end of that year, he starred alongside Kajol in Yash Chopra's romance, "Ya Dillagi".  His role in the film gave Kumar his first nomination for Best Actor at the Filmfare Awards and Star Screenworld.   During that year, Kumar got success with films like Low Budget Action Film "Elaan".  All these accomplishments promoted Kumar as one of the most successful actors of the year.  In 1994, he appeared in 11 feature films.  The following year, Kumar played a double role in the action thriller, "Sabse bada khiladi" directed by Umesh Mehra, which was a commercial success.  He achieved success with the "Khiladi" series, because next year he starred in Khiladi series fourth film, Khiladi's player in line with Raveena Tandon.  The film was a commercial success. Kumar played the supporting role of Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor in romance, "Dil To Pagal Hai" (1997), directed by Yash Chopra, for which he got his first nomination for the Filmfare Assistant Actor Award.  In the same year, he starred along with Juhi Chawla in the comedy "Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi", directed by David Dhawan, starring the fifth installment of the series.  Unlike their previous films in the series, it failed commercially. His following releases failed commercially and shocked his film career.  In 1999, Kumar starred alongside Twinkle Khanna in International Khiladi.  This movie became an average grossing film at the box office. He got critical acclaim for his roles in "Sangharsh" and "Janwar" films.  Whenever the former did not make any profit at the box office, then later got commercial success and marked his return.

2000-2006

In 2000, Kumar starred alongside Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty in the Priyadarshan-directed comedy "Hera Pheri".This film which was a remake of the Malayalam film "Ramji Rao speaking", was a commercial success, and proved to be a turning point in Kumar's career.
Later that year, he also starred in the romantic drama "Dhadkan" directed by Dharmesh.He made some of his most dangerous stunts in action thriller "Khiladi 420", directed by Neeraj Vora.In 2001, his first release was the film "Ek Rishta: The Bond of Love", directed by Sunil Darshan.Kumar was praised for his performance in the film. Next, he played a negative role in the Abbas Mustan-directed film "Ajnabee". This film gave him the IIFA Award for his performance in the first Filmfare Award for Best Villain along with critical acclaim and a negative role in 2002.His first release in 2002 was the romantic drama "Han Maine bhi Pyaar Kiya" directed by Dharmesh Darshan. His performance in the film was critically acclaimed.  After this, he starred in Vikram Bhatt's directed comedy film "Awara Paagal Deewana".This last year's last film, the superhuman horror movie "Jani Dushman", directed by Rajkumar Kohli, was a unique story.In 2003, he starred in Sunil Darshan's action film "Talash".After this, he starred along with Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta in the romantic drama "Andaz" directed by Raj Kanwar.

In 2004, Kumar starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai in Rajkumar Santoshi's Action Drama Thriller "Khakee".His other releases include Dilip Shukla's crime film "Police Force: An Inside Story".After this, Kumar played the role of an IPS officer Hari Om Patnaik in Madhur Bhandarkar directed film "Aan: Man At Work".  he starred alongside Salman Khan and Priyanka chopra in the romantic comedy film "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" directed by David Dhawan.His other films include "Aitraj" directed by Abbas-Mustan and "Meri Biwi ka jawab nhi" directed by SM Iqbal. Next year, Kumar starred alongside Kareena Kapoor in the romantic drama musical film "Bewafa", directed by Dharmesh Darshan.At the end of that year, he starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the family drama of Vipul Amrutlal Shah "Waqt: The Race Against Time", along with John Abraham in another Priyadarshan-directed comedy "Garam Masala".
