What is Net Neutrality ?
Net Neutrality means that equality should be treated with every user on the Internet. This means that all users can access to the same speed and on the internet to access features such as social media, email, voice calls, online shopping and YouTube videos.
It should not be that the site of a big company is open quickly and it takes a lot of time to open the site of a small company. That is, the behavior of equality with every user on the Internet is called Net Neutrality.
Net neutrality is the principle under which it is believed that companies providing internet service will give every kind of data on the internet the same status.
These companies, which provide internet service, include telecom operators. These companies should not take separate prices for different data. Whether the data is for visiting different websites or for other services.
Other word ---
They should not block any service or slow speed. It is exactly the same that every kind of traffic is treated the same way on the road.
Like cars, road taxes are not levied on different prices of petrol or on different rates depending on their model or brand.
What will happen if Internet neutrality is not implemented?
1. If this happens then the operator can charge more money for the Internet calling service than the data prices. Or the data prices can be fixed separately for these services.
2. They can block some services or slow down their speed so that it is difficult for the user to use them.
3. For example, the whatsapp calling service for the user can be grunted by slowing the speed of the Whatsapp app or by making it expensive.
Benefits from Net Neutrality:----
No Bandwidth Throttling:---
Intentionally slowing down any Internet service by Internet Service Provider (ISP) and increasing the service is called bandwidth throttling.
No Paid Prioritisation:--
Paid Prioritisation occurs when a broadband provider accepts payment (monetary or otherwise) to manage its network in a way that benefits certain content, applications, services, or devices.
No Blocking:--
Your internet access provider(IAP) can't block you from accessing legal content of your choice.
- Service providers can not intentionally block or slow any website or online content under Net Neutrality.
- No additional charge can be made on the name of special service. Simply put, everyone on the Internet will get equal status and everyone will get equal opportunities.
- Every website will get the same speed. Companies will not be able to provide free data for any app, which are ready to pay money separately.
